Free bird image & What is it ?

At the last minute, I decided to add this photo of Lenny's tomatoes and my cucumbers. I wanted it to be last but Blogger has a mind of it's own and put it first. My honey is so excited about these tomato plants he gets out there and messes with them every evening, even counts the tomatoes. He says we have 93 green ones.
Mmmm, can hardly wait. It will be great while they last. Oh, I almost forgot, we picked our first cucumber last night.

I thought someone might like this image for some of their spring time art work.

Help ! This tree is in our backyard. It had almost died but for some reason has made a comeback. We have two other small ones like it in different areas of the yard but we have no idea what it is. I have a book put out by the S. Fl. Water Management and it has lots of pictures and info about shrubs, vines, and trees in Florida but this one is not in there. I should go to the library and see what I can find. This picture is a close up of the leaves.

This picture shows a clump of the flowers.

And this is a close up of the flowers. They look like tiny orchids. They do not do well after picking. These had dried up by evening.

So anybody got a clue? What is it.

He did it out of LOVE for you!

This art is done by Rubens but was later used by Gulland for a porcelain dish which he bequeathed to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in 1931.

This pretty much follows the Gospel according to John, chapter 19.
The only problem I can see with this is that it shows the Christ's body in to good of a condition.
His flesh was ripped and torn almost from the bone. His face was battered and bloody from the crown of thorns, his beard had been ripped out in places. A sword was thrust into his side from which gushed his blood. HIS LIFE HE FREELY GAVE !
But that is not the end......only the beginning.

And the angles said to Mary, "why seek ye the living among the dead"?
FOR HE HAS RISEN ! HE IS ALIVE AND HE LIVES EVER MORE, SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER, MAKING INTERSESSION FOR ALL THAT WILL BELIEVE.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

When he left the tomb he folded the napkin that had been on his face, by this jester we can know he is telling us........

I am not through, I AM COMING AGAIN.

Now I know these bunnies are cute, but bunnies, chicks, and colored eggs
have nothing to do with Easter.

REMEMBER THE PRICE CHRIST PAID , THAT YOU MIGHT GO FREE.
We owed a debt that we could not pay,
He paid a debt that He did not owe.

Free Bird Images

The birds are singing, the weather is beautiful, and it is very peaceful this morning on our little three acers. I thought I would share a few images with you today that might come in handy for any of your spring art work. These bird prints are some cards that I have had forever. I had thought I would frame them at one point in time, but just never got around to it.
I think this one is my favorite, not sure why, except it has a Victorian look to me.

The last time I took pictures of the outside cats and posted them, Salu was nowhere to be found.

I snapped this one the other day and thought it might go well with all of these bird pictures.

She really is a nice cat, very shy, but does not care to be held much. I think I mentioned before, she is deaf, but she does fine outside as she hangs out with Buddy the big black and white cat, I feel certain he looks out for her. He and Sweetie had they moment in the spotlight a few posts back.

We have one cat in the house and she is 14 years old. I had thought when we moved up here she might want to go outside but she did not want anything to do with the great outdoors.

As soon as the weather turns hot I will be back in the studio, in the A.C. If it is above 80 it is to hot to suit me.

I found a quote the other day that I really likes, it goes something like this:

Not everyone can be a hero,

someone has to stand on the sidewalk and applaud.

HOPE EVERYONE IS HAVING A HAPPY MONDAY

Forty Four Years Ago

Where have all the years gone? This is honey and I forty four years ago. April 1, 1967. Our daughter and her husband that live in Illinois came down on vacation and were here for our anniversary. They took us out to dinner, bought honey a nice shirt, and me another teacup holder. Then when we went to the antique store, my sweet son-in-law bought me another teacup. The top three cups in the rack are all Shelley's, the one with the blue is my favorite, and I only had to pay $12 for it. I did not get the pretty top of the rack as I wanted to get as close as I could so you could see the cups.
And this little beauty is my new one. It is made by Royal Standard of England and called Winsome. It really looks good in my kitchen with all of the other jadeite.

The last time I was in Illinois this same daughter gave me some iris bulbs, I planted them when we got home and the first year they came up but no flowers, well this year------

Well worth the wait, wouldn't you say?

They left for home yesterday morning early, the house sure seems empty, I miss them already.

LIFE WITHOUT FAMILY WOULDN'T BE ANY FUN!!!!!!!
