2 Fabric Journals mostly finished

Since these are so close to being finished
I thought I would share a few pictures.
This first one is made of all cloth. It came to me blank. You can purchase these from Cathy @ http://www.baumcat.blogspot.com/   If you have never visited her blog I encourage you to do so, she makes some lovely things and puts some in her Etsy shop.
That is a picture of yours truly on the cover.
This is the second one, it is more of an altered book. You start with a reclaimed book, mine came from a thrift store and it was free.
This is the front and the next picture is the back.

Back to the cloth book, the two pictures are of me, they are attached by ribbon and they fit in a pocket behind the lady picture on the left hand side.
These two pages are from when we lived in the Keys and my honey was doing some commercial fishing. There are several pictures in the pocket on the left.
This is two pages from the second journal. These pages have some painting, collage, stickers, photos, etc. you get the idea.
And last you have a side view of the two together. So much fun, but I think I am done with journals for awhile. I'm thinking about Polymer clay, a few canes, some beads, and a few new ideas bouncing around in my head.

Hope everyone has a blessed week and try and stay COOL!

Catching up.....

So sorry I have not posted in such a long time.
Here is the calendar page for July.
It has been so HOT here and so many other places as well. We are in north Florida and it is cooler here than it is in Illinois. However 99 is just a little warmer than I like it to be, and the biting bugs seem to attack as soon as you go out the door.
I guess I am complaining .....and I do not want to do that as we are so very blessed compared to so many others.

This is four lonely little figs, which will be gone by the end of the day. They were all that was left out of two large containers that a friend at church gave me. Some I put in the freezer, for a snack. Most of them however got made into preserves.
Three bags here in the freezer.....
And nine jars of yummy jam as I call it.
Don't you know the toaster will be in for a workout.
This is our great grandson , he celebrates his Birthday every year with fireworks as
he was born on the 4th.
And last I wanted to share a photo of our daughter Laura's cat......
is this the cutest thing you ever saw?
Her name is Ying Yang.
Looks to me like she was woke up from a nap and is saying with much disgust........
WHAT IS IT ???
